Over the next few posts, I am going to be doing a lesson on Correction. I had the privilege to do a devotional for my churches monthly ladies Bible study. I have been going through a time of correction lately and really took this lesson as a way to show others what God's intent is when He decides we need some correcting.
First I would like to point out that God loves you very much. His correction is not to punish but to help us be the most we can be for Him. And since Jesus is my Saviour and He gave his all for me, I believe that I can give my all in every area of my life. I am a sinner and because of that I know there are things in my life, in my personality, and in character that do not bring glory to God. That means I need to correct them.
Correction is not a bad thing. When God corrects us, He is saying that we are worth His time and His energy.
I hope you are encouraged and your perspective of correction would be more possitive than negative.
